2 Hour Equine Encounter
We offer a unique new experience that gives you a chance to "join up" with a beautiful Arabian horse and then ride out into our spectacular desert. You will get to groom, lead, and whisper to your horse before you even ride. We offer a morning session and afternoon session that takes about three hours. For kids and adults 7 years and older, weighing in at under 210 pounds. $95.00 per person, this very special program is limited to 4 persons per session. Discounts for family members of three or more.
For a truly memorable educational experience, bring a camera and learn how to communicate with one of our sweet natured yet majestic horses. For riders with some experience we trailer the horses to a trail head and give you a real desert adventure. For all day rides $200.00 per person, limit 2 persons per ride.
Our small intimate ranch with only five guest horses provides an opportunity to be part of a real horsemanship program.

Try our brand new "Outwest Native American Adventure"! We have joinedCalifornia Overland to bring you a fun packed day of history! Horses became an intregal part of Native American life. By understanding the spiritual nature of Indian horse communication you will feel the intimacy of interfacing with a horse that understands you. Ga Wa Nee Pony Boy, "Horse Follow Closely" demonstrates and then you get to experience true horse communication with our gentle loving Arabian horses and our genuine indian pony-AppleJack. You'll also be driven in an open carrier into the desert to visit an ancient Kumeyaay village site and then hike to their sacred pictographs. A fantastic surprise awaits those who hike a bit further.

intentions, the Smoketree Programs, designed by Dr. Sandra Thorpe,
using her thirty five years of educational background from
kindergarten through the master's level at National University, are
guaranteed to produce results in awareness and enhanced
understanding of self and others. The horses provide the means to
new metaphors and insights through their participation in the
program. We do not necessarily ride the horses, we connect to their
wonderful teaching through hands on experiential activities. We can take you, your family, or
